At the Nelson Animal Hospital, we are committed to providing comprehensive pet health care with a personal touch. All of our staff are dedicated pet owners, and each and every pet we see is cared for just as we would care for our own.

When you come for an appointment, we give you and your pet our full, undivided attention - our veterinarians see only one client at a time. Individual, personalized care is our strength.

We are exclusively a small animal practice. Our veterinarians, Dr. Andrew Jones and Dr. Leanne Sackney, have over 20 years of veterinary experience combined. They have treated thousands of pets for a variety of problems, and both regularly attend continuing veterinary education to update their skills.

We have dedicated, well trained, caring support staff, including a very experienced animal health technologist for all anesthesia monitoring. Your pet will receive excellent veterinary care while at our practice.

The latest additions to our diagnostic and monitoring equipment includes new ultrasound equipment, an automatic x-ray processor, and dental equipment including dental x-ray. We do blood pressure diagnostics, and orthopedic surgery as well.

We have very convenient hours of work, as shown below - we are open late both Tuesday and Thursday, and we are open Saturdays until 3 pm. We do House Calls as well, and we offer 24 hour emergency care, in combination with our collegues.

We are adjacent to Four Paws Only, the pet supplies store, and a dog grooming facility. As well, we support the Second Chance Animal Shelter.
